- PHARMACEUTICS
Pharmaceutics department is supported with one laboratory and machine room for conducting practical’s related to Pharmaceutics I and II. Laboratories are furnished with all necessary equipment’s and various machines like, tablet punching machine, tablet coating machine, ointment filling and sealing machine etc. are utilized by during practical’s. Department has qualified and experienced staff, members who make students understand various drugs, their formulations, appropriate use and help develop technical skill for industry and hospital activities.
- PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY
Pharmaceutical Chemistry is discipline involving organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry and biochemistry. Organic pharmaceutical chemistry is concerned with medicinal organic compounds, determination of their structure, synthesis, isolation and their chemistry, that enable students to identify unknown drugs by qualitative analysis, synthesize drugs and analyze given sample of drug to determine whether it complies official standards or not. Inorganic chemistry deals with identification test for anions and cations determination of impurities by limit test.
Department has qualified experienced staff. Laboratory is facilitated by equipments like fume cupboard, vacuum pump, hot air oven, melting point apparatus, centrifuge, hot plate, thermostatic water bath etc.
- PHARMACOGNOSY
Pharmacognosy laboratory is equipped with microscopes, projection microscope, charts displaying morphological and microscopic features of various crude drugs. Crude drug specimen museum is displayed so as to make the drugs available for students to observe. Department is facilitated with qualified staff for students to understand working of microscope, section cutting, staining procedures different micro chemical and chemical test. Department also has medicinal garden for students reference.
- HUMAN ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY; AND PHARMACOLOGY
Anatomy describes the structure and location of the different components of an organism to provide a framework for understanding. Human anatomy studies the way that every part of a human, from molecules to bones, interacts to form a functional whole. Human physiology is the study of the mechanical, physical, and biochemical processes that support the body’s function. Laboratory is furnished with all organ system charts, skeleton, models and apparatus’s necessary for the study that includes hemocytometer, Hemoglobin kit, Sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, clinical thermometer etc.
Pharmacology deals with detailed study of drugs particularly their action on livings beings, organs or tissues. Department has qualified staff who are actively involved in each and every activity. Laboratory is furnished with all equipment’s necessary for the study that includes organ bath, Sherrington recording drum etc. Various pharmacological activities are carried out using simulation software like experiments in pharmacology as per guidance by MSBTE.
